Join Lisa Curt in Naples on Febraury 2nd for an introduction to rope bowl making.
Come learn the art of rope sewing and create beautiful, functional pieces in this beginner-friendly class. We’ll cover the core basics of rope sewing—tools, materials, starting a flat coil, shaping rounds, and building simple walls. You’ll experiment with decorative stitching or wrapped rope accents, and easy finishing techniques. By the end, you’ll feel confident continuing on your own. Expect hands-on sewing, plenty of guidance, and a relaxed, creative atmosphere.
Take Home Project: Two key rings, two 5” coasters, and one small bowl to hold the coasters (approximate size 6” w x 2” h); Additional projects may be started if time allows.
Pre-Requisite: Students must have a working knowledge of their machine and have basic sewing experience. No prior rope sewing experience is needed.
